Your new company
A major government‑aligned organisation is undertaking a large‑scale Finance Reform Program to modernise the current financial management system used across multiple SA Government agencies. The team is focused on delivering a contemporary financial solution, standardising business processes, and enabling significant operational improvements across the public sector. Due to the scale and complexity of this transformation, an experienced Test Analyst is required to support system testing and validation activities.
Your new role
As the Test Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the Finance Reform Program by ensuring the future financial management system and associated business processes are thoroughly tested and aligned with documented requirements. You will work across System Testing, SIT, and UAT, collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and agency representatives. Your responsibilities will include preparing and executing test plans, developing and modifying test scripts, supporting defect triage meetings, producing daily and weekly testing metrics, and maintaining accurate project documentation. You will contribute to ensuring the solution meets acceptance criteria, legislative requirements, and best practice standards.
What you'll need to succeed
* A solid understanding of finance business processes within complex environments, with the ability to apply this knowledge to future‑state systems and processes.
* Experience in structured testing methodologies and techniques, including the ability to work confidently across multiple phases of testing (System Testing, SIT, UAT).
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
* Advanced analytical and problem‑solving capability, enabling you to diagnose issues, escalate risks, and support decision‑making.
* High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while working autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong documentation management skills to maintain accurate project records.
* Resilience under pressure, with proven experience working effectively in environments with frequently changing priorities.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and compliance frameworks, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2012 and the principles of AS ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management, which will be highly regarded.
What you'll get in return
This role offers the opportunity to join a major government transformation program and contribute to a project that will shape financial processes across multiple agencies. You will work within a collaborative environment where your expertise directly supports large‑scale system implementation and operational improvement.
