Paspaley Pearling Company is seeking a qualified, experienced and reliable Mechanic to work in our WA Division. Possibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Detect and diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
* Conduct scheduled services such as oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
* Repair or replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components, often referring to service manuals.
* Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure they are functioning correctly.
* Utilise computer-assisted diagnostic tools to help identify problems.
* Inspect vehicles for roadworthiness and perform necessary work to ensure they meet safety and legal standards.
* Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
* Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
Qualifications:
* Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III or higher.
Experience & Skills:
* At least two year's relevant full-time work experience
* Proficiency in using a wide range of tools and diagnostic equipment.
* Strong ability to solve mechanical problems.
* A meticulous approach to diagnosing and repairing complex systems.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including working in awkward positions and lifting heavy parts.
* Communication and ability to work as a team.
