Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team.
**Job Description:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining short and long term maintenance forecasts, utilising preventative maintenance strategies, and planning labour, materials, external services and equipment for maintenance tasks.
They will liaise effectively with key contractors to ensure the work is scheduled correctly to allow safely and effective execution of tasks, as well as liaise with the planning and execution teams to ensure the plan is delivered in a timely manner.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop and maintain short and long term maintenance forecasts;
* Maintain effective use of preventative maintenance strategies;
* Plan labour, materials, external services and equipment for maintenance tasks;
* Liaise effectively with key contractors to ensure the work is scheduled correctly;
* Liaise effectively with the planning and execution teams to ensure the plan is delivered on time.
**Requirements:**
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Relevant trade / diploma qualifications with a mechanical or electrical focus;
* Demonstrated high level planning/scheduling experience in a similar role within a Coal Handing Preparation Plant / open cut coal mine or heavy industry environment;
* Drive and focus on continuous improvement;
* High level of attention to detail;
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;
* Ability to work autonomously and prioritise in a fast-paced environment;
* Ability to build rapport and maintain relationships across a variety of stakeholders;
* Strong computer literacy coupled with experience in the use of SAP and MS Excel.
