About the opportunity
IFYS has an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Trainee to join our Maroochydore team. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to start their career in IT and gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment. You'll assist in operational IT support under the guidance of experienced ICT professionals, helping ensure staff across multiple sites have reliable access to systems and equipment that enable them to deliver vital services.
Reporting to the Manager – ICT Strategy and Security, you'll work closely with the ICT team to learn and contribute to a broad range of IT support activities, from troubleshooting and configuration to training and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities of the role
* Support vendors and colleagues with IT-related tasks, including internet, networking, printing, telephony, voice and data systems, intranet, and external websites, escalating issues when necessary
* Assist in setting up and configuring new desktops and laptops in line with standard operating environment requirements
* Help diagnose and resolve equipment issues, escalating complex problems to senior ICT team members
* Contribute to managing system access for staff across multiple programs
* Stay informed and comply with IFYS policies, procedures, and relevant legislation
* Undertake other IT-related duties as directed by the Team Leader – ICT and Manager – ICT Strategy and Security
* Provide staff with guidance and support in using new features or programs, under the supervision of senior ICT team members
Requirements for the role
