The Role
This support role is primarily responsible for the planning and delivery of Council events, including coordinating major events, leading civic event planning, and assisting with community-led initiatives as outlined in the annual events calendar.
Responsibilities
Assist with planning and delivery of major events such as festivals, receptions, openings, and other allocated functions, including preparing event documentation and plans.
Lead the delivery of civic events, liaising with State and Federal Government to meet stakeholder requirements.
Manage the events calendar and inbox, ensuring accurate scheduling, timely communication, and efficient handling of enquiries and invitations.
Provide administrative support, including record keeping, purchase orders, invoice processing, and event management documentation.
Review and improve administrative processes and ensure compliance with legislation and policies, including Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Support customer surveys, collating and analysing feedback to drive event improvements.
Communicate issues or concerns related to event planning and delivery to the Head of Events and Sponsorship.
Who You Are
Current NSW Class C Driver's Licence.
Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with community organisations.
Proven administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Understanding of event management for community engagement and partnership building.
High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse background.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
What We Can Offer You
Permanent part-time role – 3 days per week (21 hours).
Set days will be negotiated, but flexibility to work outside these days, including weekends, is essential.
$43,****** – $49,****** per annum plus 12% superannuation.
