About the Role
Join BDO's Business Services group as an Assistant Manager and help clients achieve their goals through strategic advisory and compliance services. You will manage a client base, support partners, and lead a diverse team to deliver quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Manage a client base directly with clients, working alongside partners.
* Assist with strategic business discussions with clients and deliver on strategic advisory services.
* Assist in managing the operational responsibilities of the Business Services team and lead staff across a diverse client base.
* Review and manage the delivery of complex financial statements, consolidated financial statements, and Income Tax Returns prepared by team members.
* Deliver targeted tax advisory services across income tax, CGT, Division 7A, and estate planning.
* Provide tax planning strategies, including trust profit distribution planning, Division 7A management, and Small Business CGT concessions.
* Conduct due diligence reviews of financial statements, tax returns, and FBT returns.
* Oversee the preparation and review of financial accounts and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
* Undertake ad‐hoc duties as required from time to time.
Qualifications
* Prior accounting experience in an accounting firm environment.
* CA/CPA qualified.
* General consulting exposure to a range of clients.
* Highly effective communication skills, able to adapt style to suit different audiences, and ability to explain complex issues.
* Solid attention to detail.
* Willing and driven, taking a proactive approach.
* Willingness and ability to bring new ideas to the table.
