We are working with an Engineering & Fabrication business locally owned and operated on the Central Coast, to add a Workshop Coordinator to their team.
This is a newly created role, which will act as a key support to the workshop team in planning production activities, through to managing the team and overseeing quality standards.
Key responsibilities:
Your daily duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to;
* Reporting through to the Operations Manager, you will lead the workshop team on a daily basis, including Fabrication staff, Warehouse staff and Trades Assistants
* Support QA, through undertaking inspections and performing quality testing of products
* Manage production schedules and planning, including additional personnel as required
* Maintain WHS obligations, deliver toolbox talks and lead safety discussions
About you:To be successful within this role you will need to have demonstrated knowledge with the Fabrication & Engineering sectors, ideally holding the following skills & experience,
* Leadership experience ideally within a Manufacturing or Fabrication environment
* Trade qualification and/ or engineering qualification
* Demonstrated experience in MIG, Stick and TIG welding
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
* Flexibility to work in an on-site capacity as required
