**The Role**
As Category Manager
- Logistics, you will develop and deliver best in class sourcing strategies and contract management aligned with Pact Groups' strategic priorities and business requirements. Partnering with key business stakeholders and leading cross functional, cross business teams, the Category Manager - Logistics, will manage all procurement activities and support supply chain optimisation programs across the Pact Group. You will play a critical role in the procurement of Pact's logistics category which includes high profile and high spend categories including ocean, road, rail, warehousing and freight forwarding. This highly visible procurement role will drive lowest total cost, maintaining service levels and working capital improvements to enable profitable business growth.
**Accountabilities**:
- Develop and execute a robust end-to-end Category Management strategy across all Logistics spend and ensuring alignment with Pact business objectives and key stakeholders
- Managing the relationship with our key strategic Logistics partners
- Developing the 3yr category strategy with input and alignment from key business & functional stakeholders
- Building a 3yr pipeline of initiatives that will unlock value and remove cost from our operations in the logistics categories
- Leading and executing key procurement value delivering initiatives across PACT
- Champion Safety across our business driving a zero injury performance
**About you**:
We are looking for a driven and collaborative procurement professional enthusiastic and knowledgeable about logistics who with both develop the logistics category strategy and support major supplier relationships.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Managed significant Logistics category spend more than $80M
- Mid to senior level experience in Logistics industry with a commercial focus
- Business Acumen and commercial savvy
- Problem-solving ability & commercial acumen, understanding the impact of decision making on the business
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical ability, utilising data to create meaningful and useful intelligence
- Knowledge of procurement concepts and processes
- Strategic Sourcing methodology
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Proven Supplier Management & Development experience
- Project Management Skills
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Lead cross functional collaboration
- Qualifications in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Finance or Engineering
- Experience utilising SAP and Coupa
