We take great care to provide safe, and competitive seaport services to efficiently facilitate imports and exports through our Queensland ports.What you'll do:North Queensland Bulk Ports (NQBP) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and deliver engineering and project management services for their Bowen Wharf Project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a professional team working on significant infrastructure project that will enhance the liveability and attractiveness of Bowen. Your ability to identify, manage and mitigate project risks will be crucial to your success. Furthermore, you will be expected to embed sustainable design, construction and operational strategies into all stages of the projects, specifically:Manage project planning, design coordination, procurement, delivery, and commissioningPrepare and monitor project budgets, programs, risk registers, and project control groupsManage consultants, stakeholders, contractors, and delivery partners.Undertake procurement and contract management.Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, regulations, and government policiesDeliver project outcomes that meet time, cost, quality and safety objectivesBuild strong relationships with clients, government stakeholders, and local communitiesProviding regular reports to senior management on project progressGuiding problem-solving approaches and addressing major challenges that arise during project implementationMeeting with relevant department managers, subcontractors, and consultants to coordinate critical points for each project and resolve any issues that arise, during implementationProviding training, guidance, and support to project employees to ensure the achievement of targets and continuous improvement.QualificationsThe ideal candidate brings a wealth of experience in delivering infrastructure projects from initiation to handover. You will be a hands-on project deliverer, able to work autonomously and effectively with minimal supervision, understand the mechanisms of Government and be familiar with business case development.
