Job Description
A key role for a Clinical Leadership Specialist has become available to support the implementation of strategic planning for clinical training, education, and performance across our Perth GP network.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with surgical nursing alongside our roving surgeon.
* Work with clinics and individual nurses to provide clinical training.
* Address clinical standards of care and assist clinics in increasing nurse capability and improving client & patient interactions.
* Provide regional mentorship to nurses needing assistance with clinical standards.
* Positively influence clinical outcomes aligned with strategic initiatives relating to nurse clinical care.
* Construct a training action plan with skills gaps identified in clinic teams.
* Deliver training at Team Leader Meetings and Nurse training seminars.
* Oversee student placements and internships for the region.
* Assist with interviewing and induction of Head Nurse positions and other recruitment opportunities.
* Collaborate with industry stakeholders to create opportunities and strengthen pipeline.
* Improve retention of clinical nursing team members.
* Uphold the Greencross Standard of Care through education, training, and mentoring of individuals and wider teams.
Requirements:
Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing or above required. Three years of experience in companion animal setting with strong surgical background. Proven continuing education and training focus. Ability to train and educate clinic teams for efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. Knowledge of educational options and adult learning methods. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
