EL 1 Property Business Operation Support

The Role
You will have responsibility for managing a section of the Agency's property portfolio and will lead a range of related projects. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are critical for success in this role, which carries leadership responsibilities within both the team and the broader branch

Do You Have?
* strong understanding of the Commonwealth Property Management Framework and relevant legislation
* proven ability to lead property-related projects from planning through to delivery, including surplus property disposal, housing policy refreshes, and security upgrades
* skill in preparing scopes of work, contract documentation, procurement, and contract management
* demonstrated experience supervising small teams, setting clear expectations, and fostering a positive and high-performing work environment
* capable of planning and coordinating team workflows, managing priorities, and delivering small-scale projects aligned with branch and agency goals
* experience managing complex property portfolios, including in remote and regional contexts
* experience in monitoring performance indicators and implementing remedial actions to maintain quality and efficiency
* strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
* experience authorising decision-making and information briefs for senior executives and delegates
* ability to apply quality assurance processes and driving continuous improvement initiatives
* knowledge of property management in government or large organisations, especially in remote service delivery settings
* familiarity with public sector procurement, contract management, and reporting requirements.
