ASIC's Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) group is seeking a dynamic highly skilled Scrum Master to join their team. The successful candidate will lead and manage the project product backlog within a large, complex technology transformation project.
* 24-month fixed term position based in either Sydney or Melbourne
* Salary starting from $150,262 + 15.4% superannuation (depending on experience)

The Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) group at ASIC is at the forefront of driving transformational change and delivering cutting-edge technology services. This dynamic group encompasses Information Technology, Cyber Security, Data, Digital, Portfolio Office, and Registry Connect, which is modernising ASIC's Business Registers. These teams are pivotal in supporting ASIC's development and business transformation in areas such as data and analytics, cloud, mobility, and application modernisation. By harnessing the latest technology and prioritising data sharing and analytics, ASIC is on a mission to become a 'best in class' regulator for the Australian Financial Markets.
The role
The Scrum Master will be responsible for managing the project product backlog, collaborate with Project Managers and Product Owners and ensure timely task delivery. They will drive backlog grooming, sprint planning, and provide sprint reporting. Additionally, they will resolve blockers, lead agile adoption, and monitor scope changes.
More Specifically, You Will
* Manage the project product backlog, collaborating with Project Managers and Product Owners to track task delivery within the agreed sprint
* Drive backlog grooming and sprint planning
* Provide sprint reporting to support project status updates.
* Identify and resolve product backlog blockers with Project Managers and Product Owners
* Contribute to Project Board reporting as needed
* Lead and coach agile process adoption across project teams
* Monitor and escalate any additional scope items added to the product backlog
* Identify delivery capacity per sprint with resource teams
* Ensure decisions are made by the agreed stakeholders in collaboration with Project Managers and Product Owners
* Communicate project updates to key stakeholders with the Sponsor, Project Managers, and Product Owners
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience working within large-scale, complex banking and finance organisations. They will have a proven track record in leading and supporting complex technology transformation projects, as well as demonstrated success in transitioning from waterfall to agile methodologies in such environments.
In Addition, You Will Have
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or extensive practical experience
* Scrum Master certification
* Strong leadership, organisational, communication, and engagement skills.
* Experience as a Scrum Master for large-scale projects
* In-depth knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (e.g., definition of done, user stories, automated testing, backlog refinement)
* Familiarity with software development
* Proficient in problem-solving and conflict resolution
* Ability to present complex information effectively to both project and executive-level audiences, verbally and in writing
