The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager – Residential Aged Care will provide strategic and operational leadership across all My Guardian residential aged care facilities.
You will have end-to-end accountability for performance, clinical governance, compliance, and culture across our existing site, while also playing a key role in the development, integration, and growth of new facilities as our portfolio expands.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership across all residential aged care sites
* Drive excellence in clinical governance, compliance, and quality outcomes
* Oversee facility performance, budgets, workforce planning, and resourcing
* Lead accreditation processes, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
* Play a key role in growth activities including new developments, acquisitions, tenders, and grants
* Manage incidents, risks, and complaints with transparency and accountability
* Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, values-driven leadership team
* Foster strong relationships with residents, families, regulators, and community stakeholders
* Champion resident well-being, satisfaction, and personalised models of care
Essential Experience & Skills
* Significant leadership experience in residential aged care or a related health sector
* In-depth knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, legislation, and regulatory frameworks
* Proven success in operational management, financial oversight, and workforce leadership
* Demonstrated experience leading accreditation, governance, and incident management processes
* Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and people leadership skills
* Experience leading service growth, new developments, acquisitions, or tender submissions
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Health Administration, or Business Management
* AHPRA registration (if clinically qualified)
