We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead our team of engineers in delivering world-class engineering solutions for our power generation infrastructure.

* The successful candidate will be responsible for leading small project teams, providing strategic direction for project delivery, and ensuring the successful delivery of our major works program.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and mentor a team of engineers, providing leadership, guidance, and fostering a culture of engagement.

2. Coordinate and manage team resources, ensuring priorities and workloads align with project goals.
">
3. Lead the execution of major refurbishment projects, providing oversight from initial planning through to final completion.
">
4. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including project managers, site-based leadership teams, contractors, and other disciplines of engineering teams to ensure project success.
">
5. Mentor and guide engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous professional development.
">
6. Lead efforts to address skills gaps, process improvements, and project documentation challenges.

Requirements
">
To be successful in this role, you will require:
">
* A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
">
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in power generation or with large-scale rotating machinery.
">
* Specialised knowledge in NDT methods, FEA and CAD, welding inspection, and hydraulic systems.
">
* Strong leadership skills, with experience in mentoring engineers and fostering high-performance teams.
