About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Senior Control System Engineer with at least 8 years experience in SCADA, PLC, Telemetry, and project execution, who can provide industry-based knowledge and expertise to join our Brisbane office.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment on a range of projects within different sectors. The Senior Control Systems Engineer is accountable for the delivery of complete automation solutions including project management, team leadership, client liaison, design, development, testing, commissioning and documentation.
This encompasses PLC, SCADA and other hardware/software systems, networks and technology for SGA clients.
About You
* You will be degree qualified in Engineering having extensive work experience in control systems design, programming and commissioning
* We will highly regard candidates with extensive skills and experience in Industrial Control and Automation (SCADA and PLC) including design, software development, testing and commissioning
* PLC, SCADA, and HMI experience across the major Vendor platforms - Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider
* Candidates with experience in legacy control systems and experience with modernisation strategies will be highly valued
* You will have widespread skills and knowledge in electrical design, fault finding and commissioning of industrial automation plants
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications/Experience Required
* Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering – recognised by the Institution of Engineers Australia as full chartered engineer
* Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland or eligible for RPEQ (preferred)
* Minimum of eight (8) years relevant Control Systems engineering experience, predominately in an industrial and consulting environment is expected
* Permanent working rights in Australia
