About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Library Coordinator to support the strategic and operational management of our libraries team.
This role oversees daily library operations, coordinates staffing across library areas, leads the library technician team, and contributes to the development and maintenance of high-quality physical and digital collections. The position also manages library systems, supports staff with training, and champions emerging technologies to enhance user experience.
* Supports the Director of Libraries with strategic planning and operational management.
* Oversees the development and maintenance of library collections across physical and digital formats.
* Coordinates staffing and rostering across all library areas, including replacements.
* Leads the Library technician team and manages day-to-day operations.
* Administers and maintains library management systems, including circulation, cataloguing, configurations, and analytics.
* Provides training and support to library and College staff on library systems and digital tools.
* Manages overdue, billing, and resource return processes.
* Coordinates annual stock-take activities and reporting.
* Liaises with internal and external stakeholders to support technology improvements and library initiatives.
* Supervises industry placement students and supports library programs for students with special needs or work experience placements.
* Stays current with emerging technologies and integrates them into library services.
