Randstad is recruiting for two integral roles within a key Federal Government client's Communication Strategies and Campaigns Branch: a Communication Officer (APS5) and a Senior Communication Officer (APS6), both focused on supporting high-impact strategic communication initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Summary
Communication Officer (APS5)
* Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based communication strategies and activities.
* Develop high-quality content, including writing and editing a wide range of external and internal communication products.
* Assist in the coordination of communication activities to ensure message consistency.
* Manage procurement activities and external contractor deliverables.
* Contribute to the development of campaign submissions and regular reporting, and manage approval processes.
Senior Communication Officer (APS6)
* Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based communication strategies and activities.
* Develop high-quality content, including writing and editing external and internal communication products.
* Work within large budgets and complex timelines, manage procurement activities.
* Train and mentor junior staff.
* Contribute to the development of submissions and regular reporting and manage approval processes.
* Understanding of the government campaign process and experience managing campaign activities.
Core Requirements (Essential for Both)
* Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including attention to detail and experience editing communication materials for accuracy and effectiveness.
* Content Development: Demonstrated experience developing content for a wide range of communication, marketing, and public relation channels.
* Strategic Experience: Demonstrated experience in assisting with (APS5) or developing, implementing, and evaluating (APS6) strategic communication solutions, activities, and plans.
* Baseline clearance (preferable)
* Must be an Australian citizen
