Description About the role: As a Senior team member, you will play a key role in the data & insights team, providing guidance and mentorship in analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive), data modelling and effectively communicating insights. You will proactively support self-service analytics by working with business units to understand performance and achieve their goals. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with analysts and management across the business to ensure analytics and performance metrics are developed, delivered and utilised in a consistent and trusted manner in accordance with best practice. Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with key business stakeholders, including leading analysts across the business. Build the reputation of the data analytics function within HPC via effective management of stakeholder interests and timely delivery of business requests. Produce high quality documentation including data flow diagrams, release notes and process flow diagrams as required. Design, build and test data delivery mechanisms such as visualisations, dashboards and reports in line with business requirements. Maintain multiple environments including, but not limited to, user administration, software patching, code promotion. Perform On-Call roster to manage and maintain the data platforms (Sql server and as well Azure Databricks) Conduct demonstrations, user testing, feedback and training sessions relating to the enterprise data environment and tools. Promote cross skilling and work with other team members to share knowledge and build capability. Shape, influence and drive collaboration between the analytics team, other Data & Insights teams and business stakeholders. As required produce work throughout the entire analytical development cycle, for example building objects and/or writing ETL code, developing data models or producing dashboards. About you: The data analytics team is sought out as an effective business partner to collaboratively deliver insights to the business. You contribute to building the capability of the data analytics function both within the Data and Insights team and across the organisation. Knowledge & Experience: Detailed understanding of data analytics environments and architecture Experience extracting value from large datasets Strong T-SQL programming skills Python programming and data visualisation tools (Power BI preferred). Experience developing in modern data analytics self-serve environments (Power BI preferred) An understanding of financial services operating environment and products (desirable). Business analysis and change management skills Strong skills in SQL server, SSIS, SSRS and SSAS. Knowledge of enterprise testing and quality management systems. Knowledge of software testing frameworks and approaches.
