About the role
Dr Ajay Verma Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our team in our Buderim, Queensland practice. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to play a vital role in the smooth operation of our busy medical clinic.
What you'll be doing
* Greeting and welcoming patients upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression
* Handling patient enquiries and booking appointments in a timely and efficient manner
* Maintaining accurate patient records and updating patient information as needed
* Assisting with the processing of payments and managing the clinic's financial transactions
* Providing general administrative support to the medical team as required
* Adhering to all practice policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the healthcare industry
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a warm and professional manner
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient workflow
* Proficiency in using medical practice management software and other office technology
* A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information
* A friendly, positive attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure
