We are seeking a team of dedicated, people focused and caring Support Workers to assist our participants in the Coomera area on a 24/ 7 basis in Supported Independent Living. Support Workers who have experience in Dementia care, high care needs and challenging behaviours would be highly favourable.
Due to the clients support needs and care this role is suited to male support workers.
**To be considered for this role you must meet the following**:
Must be flexible and have availability for days, weekends, sleepovers and active awake shifts on a rotating roster
Minimum 1 year experience as a Support Worker or similar role
Creative thinking to deliver tailored and effective supports.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Genuine passion and desire to support people with a disability.
Reliable, honest and organised
Qualification in Individual Support or equivalent (Highly desirable)
**To be successful in the role you will require the following**:
Current CPR and First Aid
NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
Working with Childrens Check (Blue Card)
Minimum 1 year experience as a Support Worker or similar role
The Right to work in Australia
A QLD drivers licence with a registered and insured vehicle
As a requirement of the participant and due to the nature of the disability it would be preferred that applicants have good English and are able to communicate effectively.
**What we offer**:
Casual hourly rate $30-$40 per hour based on experience - plus super
KM's reimbursed for travelling with clients on shift.
