About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Workers with a strong background in mental health support. You will work closely with participants to provide day-to-day assistance, emotional support, and practical guidance in line with individual support plans.
This role requires flexibility, as shifts will include evenings, overnights, and weekends on a rotating roster.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support to participants with mental health needs.
- Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks where required.
- Support participants to engage in social and community activities.
- Monitor and respond to participants’ wellbeing, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and documentation in line with NDIS Practice Standards.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, advocates, and the wider support team.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum Cert III in Individual Support, Mental Health, Community Services (or working towards).
- Experience supporting people with mental health conditions.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Availability for evenings, overnights, and weekends on a rotating roster.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Cert IV in Mental Health, Community Services, or similar.
- Previous experience in SIL (Supported Independent Living) settings.
- Understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards and Code of Conduct.
