About us Legal Aid NSW helps people with their legal problems. We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices.
About the role The Project Officer, Aboriginal Employment, draws on their lived experience and cultural knowledge to coordinate and support the development and implementation of initiatives that strengthen Aboriginal employment and career pathways. They bring valuable insights to ensure projects are culturally informed and align with the Legal Aid NSW Strategic Plan and the Aboriginal Employment and Career Development Strategy, delivering meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal people. About you Your knowledge of Aboriginal culture and lived experience enables you to engage respectfully and provide culturally informed input into projects that make a meaningful impact.
You are a proactive and enthusiastic professional who demonstrates strong initiative and the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Highly organised and collaborative, you thrive in a high-performing team and bring solid project management experience to deliver quality outcomes.

* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the diverse histories, social structures, cultural practices and contemporary issues of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
