 
        
        This role is a critical part of our fishing operation.
Key Responsibilities
 1. Manage mooring equipment and ropes during berthing/unberthing procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
 2. Perform lookout watches and communicate the vessel's course as directed, maintaining situational awareness at all times.
 3. Conduct routine checks and maintenance on deck equipment, including ropes, nets, rigging gear, lifesaving, and firefighting apparatus, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
 4. Assist with offloading cargo using onboard equipment, adhering to strict safety protocols.
 5. Mend, make, and repair fishing gear, ensuring it remains in good working condition.
Requirements
 * A minimum of two years of relevant work experience as a Deck Hand overseas or one year of Australian work experience is required.
 * A signed sea service record or logbook is necessary to demonstrate experience, along with employment references.
 * Crew members must have at least one to two years of relevant work experience and hold appropriate registration and/or licensing where required.
 * A recent First Aid Certificate is essential, with a commitment to obtaining one if not already held.
 * Candidates must also hold safety and rescue certificates compliant with the International Conventions on Standards, Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers 1978.
