Display Draftsperson
Location: Gold Coast
Salary: $90K–$110K + Super
We are partnering with a leading residential builder on the Gold Coast, known for delivering architecturally designed homes with a focus on innovation, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer experience. Join a collaborative, design-focused team where your work directly supports display homes, custom client designs, and master plans.
The Role
Reporting to the Design/Drafting Manager, you will support the design team by producing high-quality, build-ready documentation for display homes and client projects. You'll ensure designs are accurate, visually clear, and compliant with relevant standards, while contributing to the continuous improvement of drafting processes and templates.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed construction drawings for display homes, custom client projects, and master plans
* Produce working drawings suitable for costing, approvals, and construction
* Integrate consultant information (engineering, energy efficiency, council requirements)
* Ensure drawings meet NCC, Australian Standards, council guidelines, and estate covenants
* Apply standard details, specifications, and drafting protocols
* Manage drawing revisions efficiently and accurately
* Collaborate with internal teams including construction, sales, estimating, and approvals
* Support continuous improvement initiatives for drafting standards and templates
About You
* Proven experience in Production, Masters, or Display drafting for residential projects
* Intermediate to advanced Revit proficiency (essential); AutoCAD experience advantageous
* Strong understanding of Australian residential building codes, NCC, and buildability principles
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Clear communicator with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma or qualification in Building Design, Drafting, or related field
* Minimum 3 years' experience in residential drafting, preferably with display or custom homes
* Experience working with engineers, certifiers, and council approvals
