Opal Bag Solutions operates across Australia to provide tailored high performance paper bag and other paper-based packaging solutions. We have an exciting opportunity to join one of the largest packaging companies in Australia, as our Thomastown site is looking for an experienced electrician to come onboard and join the team on the afternoon shift (from 3pm until 11pm)! The key focus of this role will be to: Maintaining equipment condition and reliability so that company safety, production and quality targets can be achieved Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime, including contribution to routine planned shutdowns Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and codes Assist with breakdowns and conducting troubleshooting analysis as required Excellent PLC knowledge and understanding to enable troubleshooting of equipment. Thorough knowledge and experience with powered drives, automatic guided vehicles (AGVs) and robotics Reading and understanding of Electrical schematics and drawings Experience working with Converting-type production lines in a FMCG environment (highly regarded) Solid knowledge and experience with industrial instrumentation and control systems Discover your sustainable future… We can offer a varied career journey with experiential learning gained from cross-functional and lateral moves.
