The role We're searching for an experienced, friendly Accounting & Payroll Manager to join our team in Banksmeadow and lighten the load of our busy Office Administrator. Take ownership of finance tasks including: payroll, client billing, collections, payables and supplier statements, new hire set-up, expense reports, end-of-job P&Ls, BAS/IAS and joint venture allocations. Key responsibilities include: Manage supplier invoices, cost allocations & payments Maintain Xero records, reconcile accounts & generate payment files Oversee client billing, monitor collections & payment terms Track fixed assets, assist with loan accounting & manage documentation Prepare financial reports, including job P&Ls and monthly expense reviews Assist with joint venture jobs reviews, ensure correct allocations for profit share distribution Process payroll & contractor payments for 40 staff weekly, manage employee super, leave & reimbursements Support Accountant with BAS/IAS lodgements, GST & PAYG reconciliation Provide general finance support to Office Administrator, Accountant & Director What are we looking for This is an office-based role. Flexible part-time over 3-4 days (Fridays essential for payroll). You will have: Bookkeeping/accounts/payroll background Familiarity with Xero and Google Sheets (or similar cloud software) Confidence managing payroll, invoicing and handling multiple financial workflows with accuracy and initiative Personable nature with an ability to work well with on-site construction crews Ability to adapt to new tools and processes quickly and independently Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision Interest in AI tools and process automation to drive continuous improvement Why join us?
