Mine Surveyor required for an UG Mining Operation - 8:6 roster - FIFO from Perth
A leading mining operation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Underground Mine Surveyor to join its Technical Services team. This plays a pivotal role supporting underground production and development through the delivery of accurate, timely survey control and the maintenance of statutory mine records and plans.
As a Mine Surveyor, you’ll contribute to safe and efficient operations across a dynamic underground site. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals and be supported in your technical development within an organisation that values safety, integrity, and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a proactive safety culture by adhering to company safety policies and regulatory requirements
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, and accidents in line with internal procedures
- Establish and maintain underground survey control stations
- Deliver accurate set-outs for drilling activities including production rings and exploration holes
- Assist in compiling and updating mine plans, survey memos, and as-built documentation
- Conduct end-of-month surveys and volume calculations for development headings and stopes
- Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure optimal performance
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in underground mine surveying or equivalent
- Advanced Diploma of Surveying or Bachelor of Applied Science (Surveying)
- Valid WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence
- Proficient with modern survey equipment (e.g. Leica Total Stations, CMS, scanners, drones)
- Skilled in Surpac and Deswik, with strong spreadsheet and reporting capabilities
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
