Overview
We have an opportunity for a motivated and community-focused individual to provide overall coordination and leadership of Council’s library functions to deliver outcomes for communities and people in the Bega Valley Shire in accordance with the goals of the Community Strategic Plan and Bega Valley Library Services Strategic Plan.
Responsibilities
As a Library Services Coordinator, you will coordinate the delivery of library services across the Shire and lead the activation of library spaces to meet the needs of current and future users. You will oversee library programs and partnerships, and manage library assets, volunteers, and key stakeholder relationships.
Qualifications
We are seeking an individual who holds a degree level qualification relevant to community services delivery, community development or library and information science, and has five (5) years' experience in library services or similar (indicative).
- Demonstrated high-level understanding of library principles and practices.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and organising public library services and programs.
- Experience in project and grant management.
- Experience in managing/overseeing volunteer programs and development.
Benefits
This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $117,458.43 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $2,016.80 per week base salary
- $242.02 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
