Estimator Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects across numerous tenders in the civil sector valued between $1m-$20m.
Types of projects include government projects, road, streetscaping, landscaping, carparks, and general civil construction. Typical values from $1m - $20m.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Working on tenders with a focus on civil engineering expertise and construction management knowledge
* Coordinating internal and external resources to ensure timely completion of projects
* Preparation and submission of tenders that effectively evaluate and review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
* Evaluate / review tender and estimating process for cost effectiveness
* Tender negotiations with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants
* Coordinate tender handover to project team ensuring seamless project delivery
* Prepare budgets based on tender submission and assess and price contract variation orders
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar
* 3+ years' experience on civil construction projects with a project value of $5m to $20m+
* Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach and effective problem-solving abilities
* High level of commercial acumen and organisation and time management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
