Trade Sales Consultant
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Trade Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for trade customers, you will be responsible for providing technical advice, preparing quotes, and supporting customers' success with effective landscaping solutions.
* Handle technical enquiries via email, phone, and in-store
* Prepare and follow up on quotes to secure new and repeat business
* Produce irrigation designs and BOMs (training provided)
* Serve walk-in customers in the trade shopfront
* Plan and execute Supplier Training Days and Trade BBQs with team support
* Represent the business at trade expos
* Stay up-to-date with the latest supplier products and innovations
* Build relationships with trade clients and premium suppliers to expand offerings
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 3+ years in a trade background and be ready to move off the tools or a similar trade-based sales role
* Experience in the landscaping trade with technical knowledge of irrigation (desirable)
* Relevant trade qualification (desirable but not essential)
* Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional approach
* Computer literacy and the ability to manage quotes, enquiries, and follow-ups
* Initiative, autonomy, and a drive to grow the business as if it were your own
* A customer-focused attitude and the ability to build long-term relationships
