Solution Architect – Defence & National Intelligence
Step into a high-impact Solution Architect role with a leading national security organisation, providing technical leadership and architectural oversight for major Defence capability projects. You'll own the quality of solution architecture across complex, integrated environments, influencing project teams to adopt modern design standards and patterns while engaging closely with senior stakeholders across Defence and the National Intelligence Community.

Contract Details
* Contract Duration: 12 months + 2 x 12-month extension options
* Security Clearance Requirement: Current TSPV clearance
* Closing Date: 10:00am, Wednesday 28 January 2026
Essential Tasks:
* Lead solution architecture and technical assessments for major Defence capability projects, ensuring alignment with strategic design standards and patterns.
* Build and maintain strong engagement mechanisms with stakeholders across Defence and the National Intelligence Community to manage complex relationships and risks.
* Interpret and communicate high-level architectures and design patterns to guide integrated solution design and development.
* Assess proposed capability solutions, validate and refine requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement and quality outcomes across programs.
Key Criteria:
* Minimum 5 years' experience providing technical services to Defence capability or comparable complex government projects, at SFIA Level 5 or equivalent.
* Proven leadership as a technical or solution architecture lead, with strong influence across multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
* Excellent organisational, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments and competing priorities.
* Relevant qualifications in a technical discipline and experience directing projects delivering complex software or ICT solutions (highly desirable).
