Utilise your administrative expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections and Justice Services Ongoing, Full-Time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public Service VPS Grade 2: $60,295 - $77,430 plus superannuation. About the business unit The Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP) is a maximum-security facility providing state-wide assessment and orientation services for all male prisoners received into the prison system and is located within the North West Metropolitan Area, Department of Justice. MAP consists of the prison, the custody facilities at the County, Supreme and Appeal Courts and holding cells at St Vincent's Hospital for prisoners requiring outpatient medical treatment. About the role The Justice Officer is an entry-level position to a career in corporate services in the Department's eight Regions, through which the compliance, enforcement and regulatory services are provided to the Victorian community. Provides a combination of reception and concierge functions and administrative and business support services. Some of your duties will include: * As part of the Records team, and under supervision, provide high quality services and perform all functions pertaining to prisoner records, Individual Management File (IMF) registry and prison archives at MAP. * Coordinate the preparation of all documentation relating to a prisoner's transfer, classification, release or court appearances and undertake operational processes associated with the prison's bails and discharges. * Coordinate, operate and maintain the state-wide central prison IMF registry including the creation, movement, storage and disposal of files. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: * Well-developed computer literacy with the ability of adapting to new systems and software with ease. * Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations. * Sound knowledge and understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate records and associated legal implications of documents handed down by courts.
