Commercial Role Overview
The position of Commercial Manager is an exciting opportunity to join our Asia-Pacific team in Melbourne. This role covers a portfolio of significant contracts & projects with a key major client within the oil and gas sector in Asia-Pacific.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for maximising commercial performance while managing business/project risk (pre and post-contract). You will also ensure that all rates and prices for services are prepared, analysed and reviewed to a high standard.
Responsibilities:
* Maximise commercial performance while managing business/project risk (pre and post-contract)
* Commercialisation of sub-Business Group service offerings to support business growth and strategy
* Ensuring compliance with relevant commercial/contracting policies
* Resolution of disputes/claims and cash collection issues
* Embedding effective commercial governance and assurance across the sub-Business Group / Project / Portfolio of Projects
* Managing tender governance process for the sub-Business Group
* Manages and provides team members with general direction in commercial activities during contract life cycle from input into tenders through contract delivery to contract commercial closeout
* Promote and demonstrate safety leadership behaviours
* Act ethically and with utmost integrity
Key Qualifications:
* Skills typically acquired through completion of undergraduate degree in business administration, commerce, quantity surveying or similar discipline
* 8-12 years' experience with 4+ years' experience in similar leadership/management role
* Proven experience in contract administration including change management
* Proven ability to prepare, analyse and review pricing for tender submissions
* Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures
* Experience in contract negotiations
* Experience in claims & dispute resolution
