About the Role The SQCP-S2 Program is a high value, high risk, high profile major infrastructure and operational development program for the Queensland Government. The Business Readiness Specialist provides direct support to the Centre Operations (Business Readiness) Project Director to prepare the new facility in Lockyer Valley for occupation and to prepare the workforce to deliver the services required of the facility. Working with the Centre Operations (Business Readiness) Project Director your focus will be on ‘fusing’ the outputs generated within the wider SQCP-S2 Operations Project to ensure these outputs are consolidated and structured in a way that is fit for purpose and supports operational readiness, otherwise referred to as ‘Day One’ operations. The Business Readiness Specialist will: Support the smooth transition and business continuity by assessing readiness levels and implementing necessary actions and resources to ensure the department is ready for operations at the new facility. Assess by evaluating the business current state, identifying potential gaps in its ability to support the transition. Support employees embrace new technologies and processes. Ensure key stakeholders are actively engaged in the planning and implementation process to ensure alignment and buy-in. Provide clear and consistent communication to keep stakeholders informed about the changes and their impact. Provide support to the Program and impacted people with the necessary training and resources to adapt to the new processes and systems. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the transition. Creating a plan that outlines the strategies for tracking and measuring the business readiness for the transition. Develop, implement and maintain business readiness templates, tools and frameworks tailored to the project and organisational needs. Track and report on readiness indicators, including providing recommendations for go/no go decisions. Provide ongoing support to ensure the business can operate safely and effectively. How you will be accessed: Significant experience of working within a program/project delivery environment. Demonstrated high level experience in, and understanding of, business transition readiness including the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedures. Demonstrated strong analytical skills to guide and develop innovative strategies for managing risk and resolving issues. Proven capability to communicate with influence with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to enable the achievement of agency objectives and proven ability to manage ongoing productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically to resolve issues, inform decision making and identify and implement business improvement initiatives. High level of skill in setting priorities, coordinating activities and meeting timeframes in an agile environment Demonstrated ability to act with high levels of integrity, and make ethical, evidence-based decisions, as well as an appreciation for diversity and equity in the workplace. There are no mandatory qualifications or requirements for this position. However, formal qualifications in business, management, risk management, program/project management would be well regarded.
