We're seeking an experienced Category / Procurement Lead to play a key role in delivering the strategic procurement plan and supporting continued business growth for this South Australian success story.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for developing and executing category strategies across key indirect spend categories, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and driving measurable cost savings and performance improvements across the organisation.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for someone who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams to deliver real business value.

The Role
In this role, you will:
* Develop, implement and grow category strategies aligned to the Strategic Procurement Plan
* Identify and deliver savings through innovative sourcing strategies and supplier engagement
* Aggregate demand across business entities to maximise value and reduce total cost of ownership
* Lead end-to-end sourcing activities including tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contracting
* Manage existing contractual arrangements across both OPEX and CAPEX categories
* Build strong supplier relationships and actively manage supplier performance (cost, service, quality and delivery)
* Identify and mitigate supplier and supply-chain risks while identifying opportunities for improvement
* Lead supplier business reviews and drive standardisation and best practices across the organisation
* Meet and report against annual savings and performance targets

Key Stakeholder Engagement
You will work closely with:
* Internal: CFO, General Managers, Project Managers, Finance and Accounts Payable
* External: Preferred category suppliers and broader supply-chain partners

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* 5+ years' experience in Procurement or Category Management
* Proven experience developing and negotiating commercial contracts
* A strong track record of delivering cost savings and managing supplier performance
* Experience developing sourcing strategies to optimise supply base and total cost of ownership
* Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing stakeholder demands
* A proactive, self-motivated and detail-oriented approach
Desirable (but not essential):
* Professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS)
* Industry experience within commercial construction or a project-based environment
