About the role
QMW Industries Pty Ltd are recruiting experienced Truck Fitter to join our High-performance team in Acacia Ridge, QLD. The role will involve strip down, customer adaptation and build-up of a wide range of products and equipment, from complete Fuel Lube Service (FLS) modules, Water and Fuel Tanks, Elevated Work Platforms and Machinery Attachments, to ROPS/FOPS/OPG’s, OEM Cabin refurbishments and many other custom products and services to support our customers evolving and demanding business needs.
What you'll be doing
Strip down, customer adaptation and/or build-up of a wide variety of mining, earthmoving, construction, agricultural, forestry, transport equipment/trucks/cabins to high quality standards
Utilise a range of workshop equipment, hand tools and techniques
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure customer specification is met
Following relevant company, Australian and International codes and standards
Test equipment and machinery to ensure compliance and functionality
Assist with the operation and maintenance of workshop equipment and tools
Collaborate with the wider team to support delivery of projects in full and on time
What we're looking for
Relevant Trade qualification and demonstrated experience in a similar industry
Proficient in a range of trade disciplines such as truck assembly, auto-electrics, hydraulics, sheet metal work
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOM's and specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Safety First and Continuous Improvement mindset
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands
