About the roleÂ
Responsible for engaging, entertaining, interacting and providing a unique dining experience to guests. Primarily works in front of the restaurant while cooking and preparing hot meals on hibachi tables directly in front of guests. Ensures correct food portions are being cooked and maintains the kitchen areas and hibachi tables clean and sanitized. Prepares and sets up food for cooking and side orders.Â
Critical responsibilities:Â Â
* Maintain kitchen logs for food safety program compliance. Â
* Monitor stock of kitchen supplies and food. Â
* Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays. Â
* Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared and the portions that are served. Â
* Set-up and break down work station. Â
* Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Â
* Pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator. Â
* Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment. Â
* Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Â
* Monitor food quality while preparing food.Â

Successful Candidates will have:Â
* Should have good knowledge in teppanyaki, sushi and pan asian cuisine.Â
* Should have good communication skills and solid English language skills. Â
* Previous Teppanyaki Chef experienceÂ
* Approaches food in a creative wayÂ
* Excellent grooming standardsÂ
* Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends, days, afternoons and eveningsÂ
