Newly created State manager role with a fast-growing not-for-profit organisation committed to social justice
**Your new company**
Hays is excited to be partnering with a not-for-profit organisation that has been in operation for over 40 years across Victoria and now Tasmania. They provide an extensive range of aged care, housing and related support services to people 50 years and over who have experienced homelessness and are financially disadvantaged. They are an organisation that advocate for social justice, are committed to upholding their values of options, dignity and rights for their clients as well as their employees. Due to a partnership with the Tasmanian Government, they have commenced delivering services across the Hobart Region and soon to be the North and Northwest of the state. Due to this growth this position will play a key role in the establishment of these services in collaboration with the Executive Management Team and their partners Homes Tasmania.
**Your new role**
This newly created role will be responsible for leading a high performing team in the delivery of housing and homelessness programs across Tasmania as well as establishing new housing and support programs across Northern Tasmania. You will work collaboratively with other internal program areas such Home Support and NDIS to support the expansion of these services across the state, along with creating pathways into their Residential Aged Care Services. The State Manager will be expected to represent the company with State and Local governments and other key stakeholders with support from members of the Executive team. You'll also be responsible for leading/training and mentoring a small team which will need to expand as the business needs grow in the future across the state.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Be an experienced leader who can inspire a diverse team, establish new services and utilise your strong understanding of the homelessness service system, social housing and other relevant service systems.
- Able to quickly establish and maintain credibility and strong stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive strategic thinker with an excellent understanding of systems and risk to lead a team to work in a complex, sensitive and fast-paced environment.
- Someone who drives the development of innovative and fit for purpose ways of working that deliver results and can integrate different areas of work into a coordinated program of activity.
- Tertiary or Diploma level qualifications in Social Work, Social Science, Welfare or equivalent would be highly desirable.
- First Aid Certificate level 2
- Current driver licence
