Switchboard Electrician / Workshop Manager required for an ongoing full time position based in Hobart.
Our company has been Hobart based for over 30 years covering a wide array of projects across Australia. We specialise in commercial and industrial across small to large scale projects including Aquaculture.
Due to our growth we are looking to hire a skilled and experienced electrician to manage teams and the manufacturing of a variety of Switchboards, MCC's, and control panels.
We are seeking a seasoned senior Electrician for this role who can add value and has leadership experience.
Relocation cost constribution for Mainland Applicants who might consider to move to Tasmania are possible.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Fabrication of low voltage MCC's, control panels, distribution boards, marshalling panels and communications cubicles to design specifications;
* Assembly of modular switchboards and motor control centres;
* Wiring and termination of motor starter modules, incomer modules, power metering equipment, programmable logic controllers, field marshalling and control panels;
* Manage and oversee manufacturing staff on the workshop floor; arrange and oversee site works
* Fabrication of Bus Bar systems in compliance with Australian standards;
* Completion of daily duties as specified by General Manager; and
* Ensure workshop safety standards and procedures are adhered to.
Your Experience:
* Trade certified Electrician
* At least 5+ years post trade experience in similar role
* Unrestricted Electrical License is preferable
* A working knowledge of the AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008 and AS/NZS 61439 standards;
* Be able to read and understand schematic wiring diagrams, termination drawings and general arrangement drawings accurately;
* Have a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship and adherence to quality procedures;
* A willingness to commit to a workshop based role.
