Role Overview
The Head of Credit & Compliance will lead initiatives within credit and compliance, ensuring adherence to policies, frameworks, and regulations. Responsibilities include overseeing credit risk management, acting as a Responsible Manager under the Australian Credit Licence, and supporting AML/CTF compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage credit risk, ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining a balanced risk appetite.
2. Exercise delegated credit authority with high judgment to uphold credit quality.
3. Serve as the escalation point for credit-related queries.
4. Lead the Credit Risk Forum, ensuring governance and proactive follow-up.
5. Fulfill obligations under the Australian Credit Licence and oversee AML/CTF compliance.
6. Shape and drive compliance of the referral network of real estate agents.
7. Coordinate risk and compliance processes, working with risk and audit teams.
Candidate Profile
* 8-10 years' experience in consumer credit risk, compliance, or similar roles within financial services.
* Deep understanding of the NCCP Act, ASIC guidelines, and AML/CTF laws.
* Certificate IV in Finance or higher, or Bachelor of Law.
* Experience in credit policy development, DCA execution, and risk assessment.
* Proficiency with Australian Credit Licence requirements.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
