About the role:
As Planning Officer, you'll support port logistics by ensuring planning systems, purchasing, and compliance processes are delivered accurately and in line with operational needs.
* Maintain up-to-date data and records in logistics systems to support operational planning
* Deliver high-quality customer service by resolving issues and working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Ensure compliance with operational standards, including NHVR, customs, and biosecurity requirements
* Support purchasing and planning tasks to align with customer agreements and business targets
* Monitor service levels and provide updates to meet internal and external reporting requirements
About You:
You're organised, detail-oriented, and skilled at working with logistics systems and stakeholders alike. You'll also bring:
* Relevant tertiary or experience in a logistics, supply chain, or port operations role
* Knowledge of NHVR, customs, or biosecurity regulations
* Experience using TMS or other freight and cargo management systems
* Strong customer service focus and the ability to build effective working relationships
* Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
* Flexibility to work at short notice, including irregular hours and weekends when required
