The Technician is responsible for routine and non-routine laboratory work that includes sampling, analysis, measuring, recording and interpreting results to meet deadlines and quality requirements. This position operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off and 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster To be successful in the role, the following is essential: Proven knowledge and experience in chemical or metallurgical laboratory settings Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications Valid WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s License Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong communication abilities and aptitude for building professional relationships Australian citizenship or a valid permanent work visa Current National Police Clearance Desirable: Tertiary qualification in metallurgy or a relevant science discipline Experience working in mining or other heavy industry laboratories Familiarity with both metallurgical and chemical laboratory techniques Experience with XRF analysis Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) Metallurgical industry experience To be eligible to apply for this role you must be legally permitted to work permanently in Australia.
