About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the maintenance team on a permanent basis. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a 4-day working week while earning a competitive hourly rate.
You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment to ensure minimal downtime and smooth operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
* Diagnose and fault-find mechanical issues across packaging and processing lines
* Perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime
* Conduct preventative maintenance to improve equipment reliability
* Install, modify and upgrade machinery as required
* Maintain accurate maintenance records
* Follow WHS procedures and site safety standards
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
* Experience within FMCG or food manufacturing environments (highly regarded)
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
