The Shire of Wyndham EastKimberley (SWEK) is seeking two full-time Human Resources BusinessPartners, based in Kununurra, WA, each offering a uniqueopportunity to lead and make a meaningful impact.
One role isfocused on HR systems, compliance, and continuous improvement,ideal for someone who thrives on structure and processoptimisation. The other offers a broader generalist scope,including mentoring staff, managing grievances, and leadingemployee relations initiatives. Both roles report to the Manager ofHR & Safety and contribute to SWEK’s HR delivery andpeople initiatives. Position Purpose
The Senior HR Business Partners will partner with leaders and teammembers across the Shire and provide leaders with proactive andresponsive coaching and advice on all people matters, including theinterpretation and application of employment conditions, policies,organisational directives and procedures.
Skills, Experienceand Qualifications required for the role:
EssentialSkills
* A minimum of 3years’ experience in the same or similarrole;
* Excellent peopleengagement and communication skills with demonstrated abilityto communicate effectively across all levels of theorganisation, contributing to a positive work environment witha strong focus on provision of quality customerservice;
* Excellent timemanagement skills to achieve proficiency and effectiveness inmanaging conflicting priorities and meetingdeadlines;
* Sound knowledge ofcontemporary Human Resource management issues at both broad andspecific levels particularly relating to enterprise bargaining,industrial relations, employee relations, equal employmentopportunity and workplace health and safety;
* Demonstrated ability tointerpret industrial awards and agreements, legislation,policies and procedures to provide clear and accurate adviceand support to managers, supervisors and employees;
* Excellent computerliteracy with high attention to detail and ability to preparedocumentation in line with relevant situationalrequirements;
* Demonstrated analytical,research and problem-solving skills, including the ability tosummarise complex issues, identify trends and emerging issuesand develop recommendations and options for consideration andresolution;
* Demonstrated experiencein handling complex and confidential workforce matters andcompleting internal workforce investigations;
* Demonstrated high levelof business acumen and deep understanding of workforce planningand core drivers of business.
Qualifications, Membershipsand Licenses
* Degreelevel qualification in human resources, organisation behaviour,employment law or other relevant field;
* Anacceptable National Police Clearance (dated within the last 6months);
* Knowledge or experienceusing HRIS and payroll systems
* Previousexperience in Local Government;
* Cert IVTraining and Assessment.

Remuneration Package andLocation
The roles are based in Kununurra however maybe negotiated for the right candidates, and are fulltime positions(38hrs per week) with a remuneration package of up to $157,000 (includingallowances, Superannuation and leave loading on 6 weeks annualleave), depending on experience.
