A loving, energetic family based currently based in the US are relocating to the Lower North Shore of Sydney, NSW and are seeking a full-time nanny to become a valued and long-term part of their family. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced nanny who enjoys a collaborative role and is excited to support a family through a major life transition, including an upcoming move to Australia.
Hours and Days
4-5 days per week
Between Monday to Friday : 8.00/9.00am 5:00 /6.00pm or 10.00am -7.00pm (Flexible hours ie can be a later start if need be or a mix of some earlier starts and some later starts)
Role Overview
The nanny will work closely alongside a stay-at-home parent, acting as a trusted partner in the care of the children and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the household. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines childcare, activity planning, household support, and dog care.
Some days will involve working closely with Mum and both children, while on other days the nanny will take sole care of one child while Mum attends activities with the other.
Familiarity with local activities, navigation, and community resources will be highly valued.
The Children
Care will be focused on two young children aged 4 years and 14 months. The oldest is currently attending swim lessons, and the family hopes to continue these once settled in Australia. She is strong-willed and spirited, so the ideal nanny will be confident in setting loving boundaries while maintaining warmth and connection.
Responsibilities
* Providing loving, engaged care for the children and supporting the Mum
* Planning and attending outings, classes and activities
* Driving children to activities as required
* Supporting routines, structure and gentle boundaries
* Assisting with homework as appropriate
* Preparing meals for the children and family
* Sharing household responsibilities (cleaning, tidying, general organisation)
* Supporting the family during the relocation and settling-in period
* Walking and caring for the family dog (a friendly Labrador joining the family mid-year)

Requirements
* 5+ years experience working as a nanny or in a childcare related role with young children under 5 yrs of age
* Childcare qualifications preferred
* Current Working with Children s Check
* Valid First Aid and CPR
* Non Smoking
* Driving required (car details to be discussed)
* Cooking skills highly valued
* Willingness to assist with general household duties
* Experience working in a collaborative, parent-present role
* Comfortable supporting a family during a period of transition
