The Role
Reporting to the Parts Manager, the emphasis of this role is to provide stock control, stock flow and administration support in relation to replacement parts for Thermo King, Anteo, Whiting Doors and all SSG products. Ensure that internal and external stakeholders receive the highest quality service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assisting with the daily operations of a fast-paced store with stock coming and going daily (picking, packing, receiving, delivery and collections of goods)
* Regularly monitor stock/consumable levels and ensure stock levels do not exceed what is required with stock takes
* Maintain inventory records
* Data entry – booking parts to work orders and entering to data system on time.
* Dealing with suppliers as required
* Loading and unloading and delivery of goods/units to customers including appropriate documentation.
* Picking and packing and issuing parts for production.
* Driving forklift – (2T Gas driven)
* Provide a time critical and efficient service for internal and external customers regarding parts advice/identification and sales.
* Receive parts deliveries, unpack stock and place in store location.
* Arrange and control dispatch and receipt of goods/items sent for external operations.
* Maintain communication with customers and suppliers concerning difficulties, delays or changes to delivery dates so as to minimise damage to the relationship.
* Provide feedback to the Operations Manager on the progress of operational activities and the possibility of obstacles arising which may prevent the attainment of goals.
* Develop and maintain a clean, functioning and efficient store.
* Carry out all other adhoc tasks requested by Management
* Be aware of, and comply with, obligations in regards to relevant legislation, ISO and SSG ethical standards.
* Follow and ensure compliance to all WHS policies, safe work procedures and work instructions (whether in writing or oral). Not place yourself or others at risk of injury. Report hazards and injuries to Management.
* Ensure the security of Hanwood Downs Pty Ltd information, particularly company, pricing, sales or market information.
Who we require
To succeed in this role, it is essential to possess:
* A current manual driver's licence/MR licence would be advantageous
* A good understanding of computer systems
* Demonstrate a supportive customer-focused mindset
* Display a positive attitude and attention to detail
* Excellent communications skills
* Time Management
* Able to prioritise tasks
* Prior experience in either the transport, mechanical or automotive industries preferred but not essential.
