About the Role
The Senior Psychologist delivers high-level clinical services and provides leadership within a multidisciplinary team in a prison environment.
* Provides expert mental health treatment to individuals requiring care in a correctional facility.
* Liaises with other healthcare professionals, correctional staff, and government agencies to ensure efficient service delivery.
* Develops and implements programs to promote mental health and reduce recidivism rates.
* Maintains accurate records of client interactions and outcomes.
* Contributes to policy development related to mental health services in prisons.
About You
To be successful, you will need:
* A four-year degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
* Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a current practicing certificate.
* Eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act would be highly desirable.
What We Offer
A total remuneration package of up to $157,359, consisting of an hourly rate between $64.64 and $69.55 per hour.
