Job Description:
The Sales Executive supports the growth and execution of Funrise's sales strategy across a portfolio of retail accounts. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role manages key customer relationships, drives sales targets, and ensures operational follow-through across eCommerce and traditional retail channels.
This position suits a detail-oriented, commercially minded individual who enjoys combining customer-facing sales with hands-on operational tasks. Success requires responsiveness, organization, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across time zones and global teams. Prior experience in toys, consumer products, or FMCG is highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow assigned key accounts and distribution partners across Australia to achieve sales and profit targets.
* Execute sales plans alongside the National Sales Manager, including product placement, promotional planning, and channel expansion with retailers (Kmart, Big W, Target, Amazon).
* Prepare sales forecasts, track performance, and manage order cycles with support from sales operations tools.
* Handle account administration including reporting, customer set-ups, order tracking, delivery updates, and pricing.
* Partner with operations and logistics to ensure on-time fulfillment across eCommerce and retail channels.
* Collaborate with marketing on trade activations, in-store promotions, and licensed IP campaigns.
* Support inventory and demand planning to balance stock levels and reduce excess.
* Liaise with finance on credit terms, invoicing, and payments for your portfolio.
* Prepare and deliver sales presentations and seasonal line reviews with buyers.
* Assist in distributor management (where relevant), including KPI tracking and business reviews.
* Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and customer insights to inform account strategies.
* Participate in trade shows and customer meetings, ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
* Maintain alignment between the Australian team and global counterparts on product, pricing, and promotions.
* Travel domestically and internationally as required.
Requirements:
* 2–3 years' experience in retail account management or sales, ideally in toys, FMCG, or consumer goods.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with proven experience engaging retailers.
* Comfortable managing both sales and operational tasks across multiple accounts and systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ERP/CRM experience preferred.
* Strong analytical ability to interpret and present sales data clearly.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and effective in fast-paced environments.
* A proactive team player with ambition to develop into a senior commercial role.
