The Junction Co. is a creative, regional not-for-profit organisation that empowers Pilbara communities to live connected, creative lives.We deliver dynamic exhibitions, workshops, residencies, and public art activations across the region, with the Courthouse Gallery+Studio at the heart of our work.
We're growing our team and looking for a creative, collaborative Multimedia Designer to bring stories of the Pilbara to life across digital and print platforms.
About the Role
This exciting role is responsible for designing and producing high-quality visual and multimedia content that elevates our exhibitions, community programs, and organisational storytelling.
You'll create content spanning video, animation, motion graphics, print collateral, signage, and large-format exhibition assets. Working hands-on across multiple projects, you'll collaborate closely with our curatorial, activation, and marketing teams to share stories that foster cultural connection and community pride.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and produce digital, print and exhibition visual assets
* Create short-form video, animation + motion graphics for social & web
* Develop exhibition signage, wayfinding + promotional collateral
* Storyboard and produce multimedia to support campaigns & programs
* Document events and exhibitions through photo + video
* Maintain brand consistency across all design outputs
* Collaborate with internal teams and external partners
* Coordinate suppliers and contractors as required
About You
You're a creative thinker with strong technical skills and a passion for community arts. You enjoy working collaboratively, telling stories visually, and delivering content that connects with audiences.
Essential
* Tertiary qualification in multimedia, design, or similar
* Experience producing multimedia content (motion, video, animation, print)
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
* Strong storytelling + creative conceptualisation skills
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Commitment to inclusive + accessible design
* Desirable
* Photography + filming skills
* Experience in arts, cultural, or community-based projects
* Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress/Squarespace)
* Understanding of accessibility design

Salary & Benefits
* Salary in the range of $75,000 to $85,000 dependent on experience

Location
This role is based at the Courthouse Gallery+Studio, Port Hedland, WA with occasional regional travel.
