This role would be suited to a skilled content creator or social producer who lives and breathes social media, understands digital storytelling, and stays ahead of cultural trends.
You know the Roman Empire is more than togas and sandals, not all apples are rotten right to the core, and every dolphin just wants to be part of your symphony.
We're looking for a bold storyteller who can turn complex financial topics into that stops the scroll and helps make Australians smarter with their money.
About you
Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, media production, advertising, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
3-5 years of hands-on experience owning and managing brand social media channels with a unique and creative presence (agency or in-house).
Proven ability to concept, produce, and edit high-quality social-first video content (experience with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar is a plus).
Deep knowledge of online culture, trends, and the evolving social media landscape, with an instinct for what makes content shareable and engaging.
Strong creative copywriting skills with the ability to write compelling, platform-appropriate captions and scripts.
Experience in community management as a brand-building tool, going beyond reactive responses to actively engaging with audiences.
Understanding of performance analytics and ability to adjust strategies based on data insights.
The team
The Communications and Corporate Affairs (CCA) Group builds and leverages media and strategic stakeholder relationships to improve awareness and understanding of ASIC's mandate and outcomes.
It manages external, digital and internal communications, and delivers ASIC's consumer education and Moneysmart.
This role sits in the Corporate Affairs team in the CCA Group, which is accountable for consumer communications, including Moneysmart, corporate reporting, events and communications, and CCA's strategy.
From
, ASIC's Moneysmart program, which was accessed by more than 11 million Australians last year, will start delivering a new ongoing program to ensure Australians have easy access to independent, reliable information on superannuation and retirement through new consumer education campaigns, content and tools.
